Chief selector Mohsin Khan said that "We have selected the team with an eye on the World Cup," Khan told AFP. He also added "Yousuf's fitness and form was not up to the mark and he has not played much cricket recently."
They recalled Kamran to the ODI squad.This will be Pakistan's last series before World Cup.
