Indian opener Gautam Gambhir has been rushed to a hospital for an x-ray after he was hit on the left arm by a full-blooded sweep from Matt Prior when he was fielding at short leg during England's second innings on the fourth day of the first Test at Lord's.
This is the third casualty for India in the first four days of this Test match.
Zaheer Khan pulled his hamstring in the first day, and has not taken the field in the subsequent days. Khan, who left the field in England''s first innings with a hamstring strain, was missing on Sunday.
Sachin Tendulkar was also absent with a viral infection.
And India were forced to bring on a third substitute fielder when Gambhir was struck a painful blow by the Prior sweep.
Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is also facing a one-match ban for his team's slow over rate.
