Sachin Tendulkar’s Lord’s jinx is all set to continue, with the master missing two sessions of the fourth day’s play due to a viral fever.
According to laws, Tendulkar can bat only at No. 7 position or below in the second innings.
According to the scorer though, Tendulkar can only bat after 12.38 GMT on Monday, unless five wickets have fallen by then.
Law 2.1.2 is the law which deals with the players substitution. It states: "The player shall not be permitted to bat unless or until, in the aggregate, he has returned to the field and/or his side's innings has been in progress for at least that length of playing time for which he has been absent or, if earlier, when his side have lost five wickets."
