RSA vs Aus, 2nd Test, Johannesburg AUS Win By 2 Wkts

AUS 296, 310/8 (86.5 Ovs)

Both captains will share the trophy.
M Clarke: I'm ready to play a third Test. It has been an amazing series, a great exhibition for Test cricket. The boys were counting every single run. I was really scared at the end, Johnson was brilliant and so was Cummins. We hope Cummins can become one of the Aussie greats. Courage from all the boys is what stands out after the loss in the first Test. We are working our backsides off. I'm really proud of the boys. Great to see Ponting get some runs, that too under pressure when we were 2 down. I was telling him the other night that we don't know if he was in form or not as he had not been on the field for that long. It is great to have him around
G Smith: The last two Test series that we have played have been really exciting. I give credit to Australia for stepping up to the challenge and winning the match. We bowled really well. This loss will take sometime to sink in. We expected the Australians to bounce back. Few of their big players stepped up to the challenge and performed. We have not played Test cricket for 7 months. Hashim Amla has become a solid rock for us, he is a great force in the dressing room. Philander has been awesome in his debut series. We shall move into the domestic series which will be exciting. Sri Lanka will come in some time and that will be a big series for us
Vernon Philander: There were a lot of expectations from me and I have fulfilled them. Jo'burg always has some nip and some bounce and I bowled in the right area. I am happy with my performance.
Vernon Philander is the Man of the Series for an amazing effort in his debut series
Patrick Cummins: I was nervous when I came in, but looked to swing it hard . Johnson told me to keep a clear head. I will definitely remember this match for a long time. Just to get a Test match is unbelievable, but a win just tops it up. I couldn't sleep the night before the first day. I still look out to Siddle and Johnson for support. I'm still speechless.
Patrick Cummins is the Man of the Match for his bowling effort on debut.
What a Test match it has been. What an exhibition for Test cricket, sadly it was played out in front of an empty stadium. Like any other match involving these two giants, the fortunes oscillated for the entire period of five days. South Africa batted well at the start, but were bowled out for 266. Australia started out with a commanding first wicket stand between Watson and Hughes, but once again collapsed with just 30 runs in front. South Africa turned in an amazing batting performance in the second essay with Amla getting a second consecutive Test century. Set a target of 310, nobody expected Australia's brittle batting lineup to score them, especially in overcast conditions assisting the home team's pacemen.
