Perth: India's defeat by an innings and 37 runs at Perth against Australia on Sunday, unleashed a flurry of tweets with Michael Vaughn and Chris Gayle questioning the quality of play shown by MS Dhoni's team.
Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan was the first off the block. Seconds after Virat Kohli's wicket fell to give Australia the Test and the series, he did his fingers walk a mile on Twitter. "I care about Test cricket .. That's why I don't like seeing a very talented Indian side play the way they have in Eng and now Aussie," he wrote adding in a separate tweet that the margin of defeats was a major concern. "Getting beat isn't a problem but the manner of the defeats... hammered without much fight is my major concern...Real worry for all fans..."
West Indies batsman Chris Gayle chose to describe India's fate in a lighter vein. "I'm waiting on clearance from bcci to play in the 4th test against Australia!Fingers cross,I will get a crack at swing swung 4 prank! LOL," he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
